June brings mild conditions to the Camino del Norte, with daytime temperatures ranging between 19°C and 26°C depending on where you are along the route. The Basque Country and Cantabrian coast tend to be slightly cooler than inland sections, while Galicia in the south experiences the warmest days. Nights remain cool throughout, typically dropping to 12–18°C, so you should expect a noticeable temperature shift once you leave the trail each evening.

Rainfall is frequent but usually moderate. Cantabria records the most consistent wet weather, with rain on nearly every day of walking through this region, while Galicia shows the driest conditions with rain on only two to three days per stage on average. Showers tend to be light to moderate rather than sustained downpours, but you should anticipate damp mornings and afternoon clouds in the northern sections. Wind gusts can reach 49 km/h, particularly on exposed coastal stretches and ridgelines in Asturias, making navigation on high passes more challenging.

Elevation changes are gradual overall, with the highest point at Sobrado reaching just 504 metres. Nevertheless, higher sections experience noticeably colder temperatures and stronger exposure, especially where the route crosses open moorland.
